Since January 2002, the Centre for Energy Environment Resources Development (CEERD) is a part of the Foundation for International Human Resource Development (FIHRD), which is supported by the Royal Thai Government (RTG).
About FIHRD
FIHRD is a Thai foundation with an international orientation. It was established by the RTG on 27 January 1998 to support the government’s policy of encouraging mutual trust and understanding among the countries in Asia in general and Southeast Asia in particular through building of academic and other linkages and sharing of knowledge.

FIHRD's ultimate goal is to create a regional and international sphere of cooperation in human resource development guided by the founding principle of raising the standard of living in all countries concerned. Thus, for example, the FIHRD has organized the annual Leadership Forum, which brings together top-level policy makers and international experts to exchange ideas and experiences on current issues, to look at these issues with new perspectives, and to recommend course of actions to address common concerns. FIHRD focuses particularly on the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS).
Our Vision
FIHRD and CEERD share common principles in human resource development and in the sharing of information and knowledge. For FIHRD, it welcomes the opportunity to expand its vision in the energy-environment field for sustainable development. For CEERD, it welcomes the opportunity to work with the Foundation on many aspects of human resource development and to contribute further to the developmental goals of the Kingdom of Thailand.
